Death Race Essay
My name is Andy Bush. I competed in the 2011 Death Race and died at hour 31. I did not finish the race that I trained so hard for, but I’m not about to quit now. Initially, I was upset with my performance and disappointed that my body let me down, but now I’m rather pleased that I was unable to finish. After all, this was the first competitive race that I ever competed in. I might be too full of myself if I had finished on my first try.
I will be back in June of 2012 and will be one of the strongest competitors on the course.
I met so many awesome people in Vermont and love the culture and spirit of those that push their limits. This is the only physical challenge that I have ever faced that has found my limits.
I look forward to a life filled with adventure and inspiring my kids every day. The Death Race continues to push my mind and body to its peak and beyond. I can’t wait for the day that I can compete side by side with my kids.
